The Model 7778-x simulated Victoreen replacement provides users with state of the art technology for 942/946 rad monitors.  The 7778-x is a three board set. The 7778-2 is the Victoreen Ethernet Controller. It can handle up to eight Victoreen modules with a simple software protocol. The 7778-3 is the Victoreen Front Panel Controller. Each Victoreen display will need one 7778-3 mounted to the rear of the front panel. The 7778-3 handles all display, led, lamp and switch interface. The 7778-2 uses industry standard Ethernet interface with a TCP/IP interface. A simple software protocol of 131 bytes is transferred to control eight Victoreen modules. Switch conditions are read with a 3 byte command and 32 bytes are returned for all eight Victoreen modules. The 7778-3 attaches to the rear of the Victoreen front panel. Three small ribbon cables connect the front panel (7778-6 or-7) to the 7778-3 controller. The 7778-2 interfaces to the 7778-3 with a 50 pin ribbon cable. Each 7778-2 Ethernet Controller drives up to eight Victoreen modules. The Victoreen Ethernet Controller uses standard TCP/IP protocol.
